About Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library

The initial scene of Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library was first written for the evening "More Jewish Women You Should Know” at the Anne Frank Center. Exceprts of the play have also been performed in events for 365 Women/Plays (Lamb’s Club, 13th St. Rep); Untold Stories of Jewish Women (Folksbiene/Museum of Jewish Heritage). Celebrating Jewish Women (14th St. Y/Jewish Theatre Circle). The piece has also received private development at the Playwrights Gallery, a New York City writers group.

The play had its first public reading at Urban Stages in New York City in the Works by Women series

The play was originally produced by Luna Stage Company in West Orange, NJ, directed by Ari Laura Kreith
The cast was Giuiliana Carr, Karl Kenzler, and Brett Temple

Luna Stage produced the play’s New York premiere at 59E59 Theaters in 2024
